About Us

Our Story

Born from necessity, courage, and passion.

Kaleidoscope was created out of a need for queer artists to tell their stories freely, to shape their own narratives, and to be compensated for their craft.

We believe in creating theatre that honors queer experience in all its forms: messy, joyful, defiant, and true. Now more than ever, visibility and agency aren’t luxuries—they’re essential. For too long, queer characters have been sidelined, villainized, or written as tragic heroes whose stories end in shame or sacrifice. Our work takes that history and turns it on its head. We’re retelling those stories—and creating new ones—where queer characters own their complexity, their humor, their desires, and their power.

Board of Directors
